Unfortunately for the rest of humanity, they will not be saved by the elite, according to Harari. Instead, they will be left to “drown.”

My comment on this is that somehow man who was created by God from dust and whose very breath depends on God, somehow thinks he can become wiser and more powerful than God. Could anything be more foolish?!?!?!

Revelation 6:13-17 paints an entirely different picture than what Harari has in mind.

The contrast also struck me -- Jesus came to sacrifice Himself for us. The "elite" plan to sacrifice us for themselves.

Yes, and sadly they will escape/miss the biggest mass casualty/disappearance - the rapture. However, even then, salvation can still be received by turning from self, and confessing Jesus as their Savior, and refusing to take the MOB.
